You can have the relationship you’ve already dreamed about — loving, caring, romantic and long term.

As women we know how satisfying and fulfilling such a relationship can be…but it’s hard. Sometimes it may feel impossible. Perhaps you’ve been in a relationship for awhile but you’re noticing there’s mounting tension, disagreements, arguments. You feel like you’re growing apart but you don’t know quite what to do about it. You may even be questioning whether to stay in the relationship or to move on. The uncertainty can keep you stuck in limbo as you watch the relationship slowly deteriorate.

If you’re like many of my other clients you’ve probably tried some or all of the following:

  • You’ve tried talking with your partner about your unhappiness only to be told that it was your problem so get over it. It is all in your head. Eventually you just gave up trying to talk it out,
  • So, perhaps you’ve tried to ignore the situation hoping it would clear up on its own. It hasn’t.

  • You may have started distracting yourself with any number of things like shopping, food, alcohol…anything just so you didn’t have to deal with it.

Do you feel like you just can’t take it anymore? You have had it with walking on eggshells, never knowing when your partner will get angry, and feeling like it is always your fault? You may not know who to turn to or how to go about getting support that will make a real difference. Whatever your situation there is a way to resolve it. None of us were meant to live a life of misery. Something can be done and you are ready to do something about it.

Love On Purpose

Hi, I’m Ann Swift, one of the co-founders of Life On Purpose Institute, and a Relationships on Purpose Coach. That’s my husband, Brad, and me on our honeymoon over 23 years ago. We may look like ‘babes in the woods’ (as one friend commented) but Brad was 41 and…well, I was a few years younger.

For over seventeen years, I’ve  helped women from the ages of 30 to 70 become clear about who they are and how to express their true, loving nature in all aspects of their life and especially in their relationships. Every relationship goes through its ups and downs. Every relationship has issues to resolve

if it is to continue. However, doing what we have always done hoping for different results is one definition of insanity.

Isn’t it time to learn new behaviors and finally get clear about who you really are and what you stand for?

You see it takes two people to make a relationship work but only one to break it apart.Isn’t it time to stop the complacency and resignation and do something about it. We do not stay the same our entire lives and in relationships we need to learn how to grow as a couple.

This is where using a relationship coach can make such a difference. I know what you are going through. “I’ve been there done that. (Yes, even got the t-shirt for it).” I’ve been through challenges in my own relationships with my first marriage ending in divorce. I tried telling him how I felt. I suggested going to counseling. I thought if I was just a good wife it would all work out. It didn’t. I was miserable and didn’t know what else to do. I just didn’t have the skills or understanding of what it takes to really communicate and have the other person understand how I felt until I was ready to blow up. I also

didn’t know what boundaries were or how to set them. And I certainly didn’t know what to expect when I started to stand up for myself.

After my divorce and moving to another state at thirty I started my new career. After getting my master’s degree and working with couples as a psychotherapist. It felt like something was missing that could make a profound

difference in people’s lives so I changed from psychotherapy to Life on Purpose coaching in the 1996. That’s the year my husband and I co-founded Life on Purpose Institute. I have studied love, relationships and the meaning of love for years. Love is one of the most confusing concepts and meanings in the English language.

I’ll  Be In Your Corner Committed to Your Commitments

As I work with my clients I help them get clear about:

  • What love means to them
  • What are their core values
  • Who are they and what’s their purpose in life
  • What misbeliefs or myths that get in the way of real love
  • Knowing their life purpose so that it guides them in their relationship
  • How to apply this knowledge to their relationship

Then we work together to:

  • Learn effective communication skills
  • Learn empowering listening skills for both speaker and listener
  • Set boundaries that work to make the relationship stronger
  • Get the support you need to work through the challenges when they arise

This makes all the difference in having a happy and satisfying relationship versus a so-so relationship or a downright miserable relationship.
